The Tyne & Wear Branch hold a programme of meetings from September to June. This year, most are scheduled for the third Wednesday of most months. Meetings provide an opportunity for members to 'network' with each other in a friendly and informal setting. Following a brief discussion of branch business, the majority of time is devoted to a guest speaker, on a topical subject. Full details are provided in the table below, with links to additional information.
All meetings are timed for 12.30pm for a 1.00pm start except the Seminar on 22nd April 2009, which will have registration from 9.00am for a 9.30am start.
This year, a particular theme has been chosen for the programme: Breaking Down the Barriers.
Safety and health suffers from bad press, misunderstanding of its importance to organisations and the impression that it just adds cost. IOSH Tyne and Wear will work towards breaking down these barriers with a programme of meetings and events designed to dispel the myths and to provide Branch Members with the confidence to send out a positive message about their chosen profession.
